I liked its extremely hospitable and excellent employees.
Reasonable base for a wedding celebration, felt like home. They gave me big and spotless room with bottled water, great view plus tea/coffee making facilities. The restaurant had excellent food.

easy walks to parks and iconic local landmarks
during our two-night stay, we loved being just a short stroll from the fine Strutt's North Mill and the beautiful Ambergate Reservoir, made our city exploration so enjoyable, although the noise from the pub bar below did keep us up on the second night.

The location of our stay was perfect for exploring the nearby attractions like the Parish Church of St Peter and Shining Cliff Woods. Our accommodation was very nicely refurbished, and the staff, especially Jasmine and Sue, were exceptional and made us feel welcome. The meals at the restaurant were excellent and really stood out for their quality. The only downside was some noise from the bar below, which impacted our sleep on one night.

Restful Stay with Amazing Cuisine
Always greeting us with a smile. Dinner at the onsite restaurant was a highlight, especially the locally sourced dishes. For a better night's sleep, request a quieter room away from the bar. A nice getaway for couples!

Couples retreat, very cozy
Diane, the owner, went out of her way to help us settle in, even offering us recommendations for local sights after we checked in.
It was a bit pricey , but you get what you pay for.

We had a delightful stay where Jasmine and Sue made us feel right at home, and the meal in the restaurant was top-notch, especially considering the chef was solo! The cozy atmosphere and opportunity to unwind by the fireplace were much appreciated. Our room was beautiful, but some minor noise from the pub below made it a bit hard to sleep. 😊

The staff were attentive. Enjoying a good Sunday lunch, I appreciated the delicious hot sandwiches offered. The location was a bit farther from town than expected, and food service ended early, limiting evening options. Despite these minor drawbacks, the atmosphere was charming, and the owner's friendly demeanor stood out.
